Peggy Ann Thompson

Peggy Ann Thompson has been painting all of her life due to the inspiration of her mother, a gifted and accomplished artist. She was raised in Florida and Georgia and lived in Hawaii for 25 yrs. In 2008 Peggy became a resident of Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho. Inspired by the west, painting Native Americans has been a love of hers since childhood.

Peggy does all of her work in oils using brushes and a palette knife. “Communicating what I see and feel through canvas and color remains an exciting adventure,” Peggy says. She also does landscapes with a palette knife.

The ability to immerse herself in varying subjects around the nation has provided a beautiful diversity to her work. Peggy won the Lahaina Poster Contest in 2001. She has been accepted into the prestigious Art Maui juried art show in 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2008.
